EatonHSA linkThe Eaton HSA listserve is the community email group which allows all participants to share school-related questions and comments via email.  It's easy to join and we all benefit by staying involved, informed, and sharing ideas. To join, simply click on the Yahoo button, and (if you don't already have one), set up a Yahoo ID.  You then set a couple of preferences, and you're done!

DC Public School Home Page is a good place to check for weather-related school closings, and a variety of information on DC Public Schools.  Click on the logo to the left.

The following website allows the students to explore tangram puzzle designs. Then, it challenges them to analyse how the puzzle was constructed with the 7 non-overlapping puzzle pieces.  These kind of "right-brain" math problems teach all students, as young as second grade, to break a problem down into its smallest parts in order to find a solution.

From the Grade 4 Teachers:  State Fair Projects

Fourth grade students are embarking on a US state project. We are in need of some supplies to complete this and I have posted a proposal on:

http://www.donorschoose.org/donors/proposal.html?id=166231&zone=0

All of the supplies requested are re-usable for future fourth grade classes. I've never done this before - but it would be a superb way to do something wonderful that could give back for years to come!

Thank you
