John Eaton Home & School Association asks you to support your neighborhood school in the following ways:
Over the last several years, DCPS budget cuts eliminated Eaton's art and music instructors, as well as classroom teachers. Luckily, the HSA is stepping in to preserve these vital components in our children's education by expanding our instructional support program. This year, our parent-funded program will finance not only educational materials and co-teachers to assist in the classroom (and reduce teacher-student rations), but also provide an art teacher, a music teacher, and a reading specialist. In order to pay for these, and help ensure that our children receive the top-notch education they deserve - every Eaton family is expected to amke a tax-deductible contribution of $450 per child per year (or just $45/month) to the school's instructional support fund.

John Eaton has its very own travel web page with YTB Travel network. This a terrific tool to raise money for our school simply through travel that we already do. Go to YTBtravel.com/jehsa and you will find the site to be comparable to Travelocity, Expedia, and other travel booking engines. The difference is that John Eaton receives 40% of the agent commission. Whether its a flight, a hotel, car rental or even sending flowers, by using the site you donate money to John Eaton at no extra cost to yourself. If you buy groceries from Giant or Brookville Market, purchase "gift" cards for these stores through Eaton every month. You simple pay the face value for the cards, and our school receives a percentage "commission" at no cost to you. Also, designate John Eaton to receive 5% on your Giant or Safeway bonus card.
Box Tops clipped from General Mills products and sent in to school earns money for John Eaton. Each box top is worth 10¢. Classes compete for prizes for the most box tops collected. You can also buy products on-line from a wide variety of stores and 2%-4% of the purchase will to to Eaton. Funds raised are used for instructional support.
