SET Fund

Each year, the John Eaton Home & School Association (HSA) determines the areas where Eaton students, teachers, staff and families have the greatest need for additional support. The HSA then funds programs, events and projects that help make Eaton the best school it can be.

The HSA asks every Eaton family to contribute to the “Support Eaton Together” or SET fund.

Over the years, the HSA has raised money and provided volunteers to support Eaton in many ways. It has funded art and music teachers and programs, learning specialists, and co-teachers. It has supported an ever-expanding library and paid professional development for teachers. The HSA volunteers have tutored students, produced musicals, published newsletters and applied for grants.

Contributions to the HSA are voluntary but vital to the school’s success. Eaton, unlike some schools and parent-teacher organizations, does not require tuition, dues or mandatory volunteer time. Rather, Eaton’s HSA encourages each Eaton family to make a donation to the SET fund. Although the HSA suggests contribution amounts depending upon number of children enrolled at Eaton, all levels of donations are accepted and gratefully appreciated.

Far more important than the amount of the contribution is the number of families that contribute. Eaton needs all families (100% of families) to support the HSA.
